Bike maintenance - QR Skewers?

Do I need to grease/lube QR Skewers or just clean them, dry them and put them back?

I would clean dry and put a drop of oil on the skewer. I would avoid grease.

Yeah, crap film!


As AFS says, clean the skewer, but wipe the length of it with a slightly oily rag. And clean the springs removing grit, sand etc.
