Just another gimmick in my opinion. The actual light is extremely dim for a £50 light, and if drivers don't see (or look for) a cyclist covered in lights approaching they're not going to see a small symbol on the ground.

For a little over £50 you could get a magicshine, or two unbranded T6 lights, and look like a small motorbike.

BLAZE is a front light with super-bright LEDs, but it also projects the symbol of a bike down onto the road ahead of the cyclist. It’s adjustable, but ideally between 4-6m. It alerts road users ahead of the cyclist of their presence, helping to prevent them turning across their path (especially the big ones like buses and trucks!). Making the cyclist more visible and increasing their footprint on the road.

Not sure that I'm convinced - how many of the car drivers are looking down at the ground as opposed to straight ahead. However it is certainly different to the current lights and they have put a bit of thought into it (lights that don't go on in your bag or was that only the bike symbol).

I can't see the point of it, a magicshine or equivilent bright light lights up the road much more brightly when pointed down for urban use and doubles up as a functional light :P Probably also more likely to spill light into a drivers mirrors and get attention than the little green sign on the floor which would be easily obscured. It doesnt scale very well with speed either, at 20mph the recommended 5m ahead of the bike is only about half a second ahead of the bike.

Its just a poor light with a silly logo on it IMHO.

Agreed. Just another silly gimmick that's marketed to gullible cyclists with more money then sense,
