Hey Guys,

I have the suspicion that my new road bike doesn't fit me well and would like to do a bike fit, can you recommend a good shop where I can do that ? Halfords where I bought my bike have been useless with this (and most of the req i had with them).

Cheers,
Sam

Where in London? On your bike (London Bridge) and Condor (Farringdon way) are good - whether they'll fit you for a bike you didn't get from them though, you can only ask?

I'd try another branch of Hellfrauds first, some are better

Try your local bike shop, by getting them to fit you to your bike you may well strike up a bit of a relationship which may mean work for them, and discounts in the future for you. Whereabouts in London do you live? You could try a branch of Evans if you have one nearby.

anywhere in London really as long I can bike it there ...

Tried three Hellfords and they all kind of ask me to book an appt which would be in the next month before they can do anything (I mean really anything!) would be best if I can avoid that....

Chmouel.

There's a decent bike shop on Chiswick High Road. Maybe start there?

Fudge & Sons, I think it is called. It is close to the High Street Brasserie. Good folk, very helpful.

You also have Pearsons New Maldon way, they def do fitting of their own frames.

Not Fudges. They're on Harrow Road (& another branch in Epsom). Good guys though.

I think the Chiswick shop may now be part of Action Bikes...

Confusingly, I ordered something from Myspokes ... needed to return it...happened to be in Chiswick and went to the shop there, not called Spokes (but I think something with an F) and my CC refund was from Action Bikes...confused, you will be!

http://www.myspokes.co.uk/our-stores/ same address as Action Bikes

It has recently changed hands. It was Action Bikes and now is A Fudge & Sons

results from 'bike fitting' are really mixed. I'd go out with your local CTC section on a Sunday and ask their opinion before handing over loads of dough.

Slo'mo's vid is well worth a watch. And the words of wisdom are - 'a little at a time'. I'm not convinced by the centre of the cleat thing - cleats vary in their design. Ball of foot to spindle of pedal works for me.

In between here and there
Perhaps the best place to start is here! What are your symptoms that make you think you have been sold the wrong size bike?
