Bike Fit, how much and is it worth it?

I'm considering it, mainly because after my accident and having a new bike, I want to be sure I'm in the right position to ensure my knees don't get any undue stress on them.

I reckon I can probably get it close enough on my own, measure inside leg, calculate the 109% thing for saddle height, take a photo check the angle of thigh/calf etc do the knee over pedal spindle (KOPS) measurement etc. Which I reckon will get me fairly close, however I wonder if after doing this I'd get any benefit from a professional bike fit.

Has anyone had any experience of one?

Recommendations of places to go for this in the NE Hants/Surrey area would be useful and an idea of cost?

Questions, questions, always questions.........

I had a bike fit 2 weeks ago having spent over 2 k on a bike I wanted to get the best out of it . I went to the velodrome in Manchester for mine it cost 110 and had made such a big difference to the ride of the bike and to my comfort worth every penny

I had a bike fit with Adrian Timmis, I thought after 40 years of cycling I had it right, well how wrong I was. I used to think the bike was comfortable and could easily do long or fast or even both a times rides, now I know what comfortable is. All thanks to a quality bike fit.

Could try Corridori near Epsom Downs for a bike fit, there may well be other places closer

I went to see Rick at the Velodrome as well - everytime he tweaked my set up it felt like I sunk into the bike. Now it feels like I'm sitting on my sofa riding every mile!

Depends on where you go, but they don't just fit you to the bike. Medical, training, warming up/down advice are all part of the service usually.
