Sorry possibly an obvious question, does 7 8 speed chain mean I can use this on a 24 speed bike, I'm getting confused with eBay listing. 21, 24 speed but I guess this means 3 x 7 or 8 speed? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...egoryId=165694&productId=791163&storeId=10001

Yes, you can use it. Yes, 24 speed is 3 chainrings x 8 sprockets. (3 x 7 will give 21, not 18, but you knew that)
