When I pointed these out to the staff in store it was "ok, because we're not allowed to sell bikes off the display".

Well at least their lawyers know that they're dangerously incompetent.

These were side by side on display in the Trafford Retail Park Sports Direct store this morning.

Should be reported to trading standards as displaying goods that are at best not fit for use to downright dangerous.

Maybe they didn't know which one was correct, so they thought they may aswell do both just to be sure.

That's not as daft as it sounds, especially considering there are two bikes of each model (4 bikes in total) and one of each is right and one of each is wrong.

Maybe if they did another one of each they'd manage to find a third way

It might be, I'm certain there is a clause relating to not be ing of the right standard for the consumer. Worth a call.

I could be wrong but I think they can get around it, with 'display model only' it probably has to be prominently shown though.

The BMX looks as though it's just be put on display and the handle bars rotated. As the stem matches the forks. The handle bars are just at a crap angle!
