Big G Cyclosportive/ East Yorkshire Classic Weekend

Hi All,

Clicked on the Big G site this morning (as have done every day for weeks) to see if it's open for entries, looks like it is!

Confusingly, the site says 'open from 18th April for entries' but in registering, the site has allowed me to pay and the confirmation page says 'see you on the day' etc.

Will be out on them thar hills tomorrow!

I got up this morning thinking about it, and decided I'm definitly not doing it again with it being on my doorstep and the start line only a few hundred metres away, as I can do it any time I want, and have done many times and sick to death of doing it. I hate the sight of it.

Anyway, just entered.........again............for the last time definitly

Likewise I will be out in the hills myself tomorrow, like I was yesterday and will be this afternoon. As I mentioned in an earlier posting a little while ago, if anyone wants to have a ride round the course let me know, otherwise I have no plans at looking at it again till the day

I live in Holderness, makes Holland seem mountainous...


Guess I'll have to cycle out to Beverley & beyond ....

Ha ha,

I cycled home the back road this afternoon, Paull, Sunk Island etc, so quiet...so...flat....

Methinks me lungs have a shock coming

I do that as well during my days off, or used to do, but most of the whole course I'm out on at some point in a month doing part of it.

And the day is mostly a jolly, we all do the 100, get round as quick as you can and in the pub by 1400 for the rest of the day.

But like myself most of us have now had enough of it, so maybe next year a few of us will not bother anymore
