Bicycle kick stand

Hi just a quick one I have a full suspension MTB & want to buy a kick stand to prevent the end of the handle bar grips being ruined where would one be best placed{ on the outside off the chain stay or just behind the bottom bracket where the hole is manufactured which I presumed is designed for a kick stand?

these are quite good for the money , fits on the chain stay.

chain stay as the bb area often has cable guides which prevent you fitting anything.
