Well it's sort of like a time trial bike....

Scott, get a skinsuit, oversocks, helmet, and those wheels, and stick it all on and go out on the Scott, and you will go much quicker than you would if you bought that bike, honestly!

Being a bit more helpful, I hope.

Bianchi is a decent make (I have two Bianchi bikes). If I was going to be doing time trials and I had one of those given to me, I wouldn't be turning it down I'd be chuffed to bits. But the fact I like Bianchi bikes is not really relevant - what is important is that if it's something you're thinking of getting, that you like it. They key with any bike is fit, so make sure that whatever you get it's right fit for you. It should be a decent time trial bike, but it would be crap as a tourer ;-)

My experience of my two Bianchi bikes: I love them. They fit me. I have an entry level race bike (ML2) and a tourer/audax which is a San Remo. The San Remo was secondhand to me. I am so comfortable on it that when the paintwork got a bit too shoddy (it's my everyday bike), rather than get a new bike, I had the frame & forks re-furbished at Mercian.
