Hi, my friend and I have rescued what we believe is a Viking 5 speed 50's/60's bicycle. From research, we know that there was cyclist called Bevis Wood, who amongst other races was part of the Viking team in the 1955 Tour de France. Other than this, we can find no record of the shop or bicycles with Bev Wood Cycles on the frame, which this has. Can anyone kindly shed any light? Huge thanks.

Bev Wood had a cycle shop in Droylsden on the main road to Manchester about a quarter mile from Edge Lane. When I passed the 11+ my parents bought my first dropped handlebar bike from Bev. We went to the shop to select what to get and Bev built the bike from scratch. It was bright orange and my parents paid weekly for it.
