You've called my bluff Baggy.
I was saving the specially minted medals and unique Dartmoor Granite tropjies to play in my next hand.
Never mind, I've still got a couple more cards to play.

Of al the ones Ive ridden and thats a fair few. One stands head and shoulders above the rest. The Trans Cambrian.

85 miles of stunning scenery. Near perfect roads, all the trimmings you d expect from a good Sportive., and all for £20 well it was last year!

MAD MARCH HARE

Early March.

- £10
- Excellent route for early in the season
- no unnecessary rubbish gifts
- Food at finish and en-route
- Well signposted
- Quiet roads
- Delivers what is promised

Another sportive which is now defunct was the ROCKO ROLLER arranged by Rockingham Forest Wheelers. Shame.

Done.

Is it the compulsory Solihull vs Beacon vs Halesowen vs Wolves vs Bromsgrove vs Evesham vs Red Kite ?

Do any Concorde and Glendale riders turn up?

There will be a team of one Palo Alto ( Western Wheelers ) rider there next year.

I went from the Home Page, to the 'Route' page, then to the 'Information' page and then to the 'Online entry' page where there was a large red banner saying "This event is SOLD OUT".

So anyone worrying about Sportives losing their popularity due to a few harsh words on this forum, can rest easy.

Mind you, ten quid is a bargain, so I'm not surprised its fully subsribed with five months to go.
£30, you can stuff it.

That's really dissapointed me. What I shall do is ride the route a few times and compare my time with the results.

I can do it as a DIY by GPS and count them as 100 km rides toward a Brevet Series.

Obviously the Dartmoor Classic isn't charging too much, because early entry numbers are at a record level. Clearly the "blatant advertising" on CycleChat has played its part as approaching 800 have already signed-up.

Cheers

It could be as much as 1% of the entries might be CycleChat members.
