Hi all. I am riding the Paris Roubaix sportive this coming April the day before the pro event and was wondering if anyone has experience of completing the sportive, or have if anyone has any suggestions as to what tyre and tubes would be best for the job. :pump:

Depends how serious you are. If you have the budget, then the pro setups are no secret - many are on box section tub rims with 27/28c FMB or Dugast tubs. Deep sections are also becoming popular. If you don't have that kind of money, then a good, sturdy tyre as suggested above in 25 or 28c at an optimum pressure for your weight and road surface.

I'm likely going to do the ride. I intend to order some ambrosio nemesis tubs on zenith hubs and use 27mm vittoria paves.

Specialized Roubaix tyres are designed for this, they are deep and pretty comfortable.

I rode the tour of flanders on 23mm Gran Prix 4000s, no p'tures but i wished on the Pave I'd went for 25mm
