What Socks would you recommend for Winter and also Summer?
;) i do wear overshoes in the Winter i noticed Specialized Windtex Socks,
At £9.99 should be £14.99, are these any good under overshoes, and can you wear them in the Summer.

Tesco's mens black cotton , £ 2.50 for 5 pairs and a decent overshoe. Never seen the need for anything more specific as none of them seem to be totally waterproof.

White cotton sports socks. £5 for 6 pairs. Available now at a market stall near you.

A good pair of sport socks and better yet cycling specific will make your ride more enjoyable, just like proper shorts.

Feet are, of course, the other point of contact besides hands and bum. You pad them don't you? If not you should. Good cycling socks are thicker in the sole and thinner/breathable on top.

A good poly/cotton blend is good for summer; pure poly or wool for winter.

Don't use regular hightop sox. They're not designed for cycling, they're abrasive ... and you'll look like a tool!

I have been really impressed with my Decathlon winter socks. Warm have kept their shape wash after wash and not developed holes in the toe like some.
Another vote for the Lidl/Aldi socks for the summer can't be beaten at the price and will last more than 1 summer.

I really like Sock Guy socks but they are not cheap at £7-9 and the toes developed holes relatively quickly in the 4 pairs I bought, great designs though.

I bought 4 pairs of cycling socks from LIDL a couple of weeks ago when they had their 'cycling accessories' week. Can't say if they're any good though as I am STILL waiting for my Cycle2Work vouchers to come from Head Office :-(
