I've bought their sintered version for BB7s and they seem fine

Fit BB7s. Cheaper in the long run and a much better brake. Seriously I upgraded my Kettwiesel after running BB5s for 1000 miles, the right wheel's pads were worn out. The BB7s have done 4000 miles on the original pad, work better with lighter grip than needed for the BB5s and have been adjusted once. I could need to adjust the BB5s 3 times in 20 miles!

+1 to this, I've done the same. Forgetting all the other benefits mentioned above, the killer one for me is the ease of adjustment - no tools needed, a 'twist by hand' wheel on both sides to wind in as the pads wear.

On a similar note, and hopefully not too much off topic. is there any way to tell easily when the pads need replacing without actually taking them out and examining them? I've just hit 4000 miles on my pads too?

I've never had a problem with the BB5 but I could upgrade to BB7's at this pre-order PRICE
I doubt they even exist at that price, by the time they come into stock they'll be back to full price

I got the semi-metallic ones from disco-brakes, seem just as good (or bad) as the original pads, still squeal a lot in the wet, but saves me ringing my bell.
My plan is to upgrade to BB7's eventually.
