Best packable jacket?

Looking for you opinions and experience please.

What is the best packable lightweight wind proof and shower resistant jacket sub £100 and sub £50?

The montane velo feather lite h20 always scores well in reviews, which is the waterproof version or the featherlite windproof. Otherwise look at castelli for example

Getting windproof and waterproof is going to be quite hard if you want it to perform well on both as it requires a different type of fabric

Wind proof is the priority with good breathability too. Showerproof would be a bonus

Sizing can be all over the place, so go to some shops, try on, buy the one that fits best

Do you also own a windproof gilet? If not, perhaps look at the options with the pull off arms, two garments in one. Wiggle have a few options if you look through their windproof selection

Adidas response works for me...waterproof(ish) on the front and arms, but not on the back. Has fleeced arms as well and is very good at keeping the wind out. Long sleeves, three pockets at the back and tie cords at the side. Got mine in a really cheap Halfords deal last year, for just under £30, I think.

I have just purchased a rsp viper waterproof jacket for £20 from Planet X reduced from £70 . Not sure how good they are as I am struggling to see any reviews anywhere?
Does anyone have one and are they any good ?

It'll have Montane on the label. You could do worse than getting a Velo and proofing it yourself with some wash in stuff. Mine is resistant to light showers as a result.
