Best bar tape and brake cables

Looking to service the brakes after a damp winter - so looking for some top notch cables and bar taper

Fire away with your recommendations??

Fizik tape and jagwire cable kits. Used on all my bikes.

I swapped out mine for some Clarks cables during the summer. They come pre-lubed, but I threw some silicon spray down them for good measure. I'd forgotten just how light to the touch brakes could be with decent cables. As for bar tape I used Bontrager stuff last time. No complaints, but nothing special about it either.

fizik tape and jagwires in my wiggle basket - unless somebody comes up with a deserved reason why i should not purchase

Can't remember what cables I used now, they cost quite a bit though and the inner has a sort of plastic film applied to it.

Tape, I like fairly standard tape. Something like Cinelli cork or whatever, but in a non-gross colour, i.e. black (although will be switching to pink Fizik tape shortly)

My new bike is getting super duper (expensive) Lizard Skin 3mm tape (partly as I like/need plenty of cushioning and it was the right colour ) and jagwire cables. Tape came from halfords as cheapest (£23 IIRC) and cables from Wiggle as I had a vouchers

Fizik 3mm performance tape good too

No Phat tape for me as it only comes in black
