Seems these excellent tryes have been discontinued. I asked wiggle about it and they said they had no idea why either...they suggested some continentals instead but they dont look like they have as good puncture protection form the online review i read anyway.

So has anybody got any sensible suggestions for an alternative tyre? The DD's were always very fast and had excellent puncture protection on th eside walls as well.

The Ultremo's were far too expensive to produce, hence the discontinuation. I've dropped to Schwalbe Durano +, not quite as good in the wet, but they do have a shoulder tread, which helps cornering in all but the worst conditions. They have the same puncture resistance as the Ultremo's too.

I love the Schwalbe Ultremo ZX or the Schwalbe One's for training. They are fast, reliable in the wet and I have had only have had one puncture this season on them. For races I use the ZLX's which I can't fault. You'll go like a scalded cat on them. Every one has there own preferences and these are mine. Good Luck :okay:

Duranos are also excellent, I use them in the winter, but they are much heavier (or at least feel that way) than the DD's. I will try and get a couple of schwalbe one's and see how I go. Cheers.
