Bent brake bolt?

Question for the knowing, my front brake bolt (the brazed-on bolt on the fork) i think may be bent or cracked.
this basically means i can't get the damned thing off easily when i remove it to clean and re-grease and more importantly it won't return properly after the brake it pulled even though the adjuster screw is right in there.

what is my best course of action here? should i take it to my LBS and cry like a girl for them to fix it or can i sort this myself?

Buy a new bike.

Seriously - are these V-brakes or Cantis? Are we talking about the female threaded stud on the fork ?

Yes we need more idea of the problem Pete, what kind of brake system? A pic will really help. Could just be a damaged thread on a bolt..........
