Beginner help needed with wheel replacement!

Hello,

Earlier this year I bought this bike: https://www.evanscycles.com/pinnacle-lithium-1-womens-2016-hybrid-bike-EV244093 second hand.

Loved riding it to work in London but sadly the front wheel was stolen recently. I have no idea where to start at replacing it e.g. what size parts, where to get them from etc.

As the bike only cost around £150 I wouldn't want to pay more than that for a wheel replacement. If anyone could help me with a list of bits I need for a complete front wheel and ideas of where to find said bits, i'd be extremely grateful!

You will need a 29" or sometimes called a 700C front wheel for rim brakes with a 38mm tyre and quick release skewer.

You probably have to buy the various component separately so your shopping list will look like this:

1) Front wheel. 29"/700C with rim brake track.
2) Front QR (quick release) skewer.
3) 29" tube
4) 29" tyre which is 38mm wide.
5) Optional: bike lock long enough to thread through all wheels and frame.

This is a relatively common wheel lying around in sheds and garages all over the country as people often "upgrade" their wheels. Put an ad in the Wanted section on this forum and try your luck.

You need a 700c wheel (perhaps with nuts on the hub rather than a quick release - cheaper, less attractive to pinch and less easy to pinch) which has a medium width rim (internal 19mm (say) to fit the tyres. Here's an example.
You need an inner tube (622 32-42 range) and a tyre 38 (or 35) - 622 'city tyre' see this wiggle link for ideas and tread/price range.
I would hope to pay no less than £45 for all new. You could try the 'Wanted' thread on CycleChat.

EDIT: For the avoidance of doubt, @Yellow Saddle 's advice above (we cross posted) is congruent with this: the various numbers describe the same items, but in different dimension systems (eg imperial, ETRTO).
