Sort of related, I'm really enjoying the American Office at the moment - season 2 is a belter.

Does he only have one trick? The thing that impressed me most about "Extras" was that he hadn't just made "The Office 2". More like a modern "Canterbury Tales" than anything.

I thought he pulled off a very neat trick in Extras, in that every script brought out the true character of the actor behind it. Hence my reference to the Canterbury Tales.

I enjoyed Extras, but if you notice he gets everyone to act in the same way as he does.

Yes. I think he's overrated and I think he'll do well in America as his humour is very much to their taste. For me, once you've seen one long awkward pause the next five-hundred are boring.

I think the real star of Extras was Ashley Jenson - Maggie. Her acting was lovely.

I'm afraid that I take the conventional view that both The Office and Extras were works of brilliance and originality. His third venture will perhaps be the true test of him.

Did anyone watch Summer Heights High? Not Ricky G. related but a similar sort of programme. Beat the office hands down in my opinion.
