Hi i am rebuilding my road bike, i have all the parts removed but i am not sure on how to remove the fork bearings, any help would be great thanks.

I can see the bearing is held in by the a clip but i don't know how to remove it :-(

They are normally removed with one of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=10223 & a hammer

Dean, do you want to remove the whole bearing race (the whole headset), or just the bearings?

If you just want to remove the bearings (which are held by the clip you mentioned) then simply pop the clip out with a narrow/pokey tool - Although it looks like you have sealed bearings, so unless you have replacements there isn't much advantage to doing this. Beware though, if they're not sealed then ball bearings could go everywhere.

If you want to remove the whole bearing cup (headset) then follow Rusky's advice as above.

It's hard to see from pics but if it is an integrated headset then do not try to remove 'cups' as they are not cups as such but part of the frame and you could cause serious damage. If the bearing won't pry out easily then you'll need to very, very carefully tap it out but getting something on the edge of the bearing from the other side and gently tapping it then move round a bit all the way round - the last thing you want is to knock out the centre of the bearings as you'll then have lots of fun trying to remove the outer metal shell of the thing.
