Has anyone heard any announcements from the Bbox Bouygues Telecom team today? Has the team folded or has a new sponsor stepped in to save them at the very last moment?

Fantastic! Europcar have agreed to sponsor the eam for 3 years - see http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/europcar-confirms-three-year-sponsorship-deal.

I have been so impressed by Thomas Voeckler throughout this - his quote "I didn’t see myself leaving fifty people unemployed” says a huge amount about the man.

Hopefully the Europcar team will continue the tradition of attack, attach and attack again at all costs!

Exactly what I thought yesterday. Voeckler already had a slot at Cofidis, but this means the rest of the squad keep their jobs. Really good news.

Lots of the other riders in the squad had the same loyalty to the team - Arashiro was saying much the same things. It seems that this particular set-up is one which is not as mercenary as some these days.

The new slightly weird thing is that they haven't even applied for Pro-Tour status, despite the new sponsor, and will apparently be racing as a Pro-Continental outfit.
