BBB road brake shoes - or other cartridge type?

Need some rear brake cartridges (shimano 105 fit). I have Koolstop salmon at the moment but can't be arsed spending the best part of a tenner for them.

I've seen these BBB's for £9 for 4. Any good? I have a pair of BBB overshoes that have been very good and BBB MTB shimano compatible cleats that apear to be holding their own too.

I also use Disco Brakes but for disc brakes.

Probably no use this time, but I get my Koolstop Salmon from Spa £6 per pair, only trouble is there is postage on top (£3ish) so best to order a few pairs for spare
For the rear I wouldn't worry about putting a slightly cheaper pad on, I find I do 90% of my braking at the front anyway.

The Disco Brakes website & cartridge types. What (if any) are the differences between the colours?. Red and blue have exactly the same write up. Both are normally £9.99 but the red has a larger discount.

I don't know, I suspect it is purely cosmetic as no other difference is noted; have you tried Disco Brakes?

Speaking of whom, I've just received my inserts: ordered on Saturday, dispatched yesterday, received this morning!

Bearing in mind the Bank Holiday, that's pretty impressive, especially at £7.29 for four pairs, post free!

You mean have I contacted them? No, guess that is my next logical step.

I also bought pads from them. Are wearing well (2000 miles so far) and stop just as well. And bonus is they don't squeal as much as the bike supplied.

Not been on long enough yet to test the wear, only just bedded in
tbh they are a stop gap until I upgrade to BB7's,
