Just removed a press fit 86 (SM-BB71-41) bottom bracket from one frame to go into a different one.
Gave it a good clean, removed all the covers and o-rings to inspect the bearings. They spin buttery smooth, no issues, appear to be full of original grease:
Do I:
1. Degrease and re-grease.
2. Leave whatever grease is in and top up with a bit of new one.
3. Just leave as is.
I don't believe it's possible to remove the bearing from the fairing without damaging it?
Also, when fitting the BB into an aluminium frame, do I grease up every contact point between the BB and frame as well as different sections of the BB itself? It comes in three parts.
