BB help needed

I want to upgrade my chainset from the FSA gossamer to a Shimano 105 but I have read somewhere the BB30 FSA is not compatible with Shimano, does anyone know if this is correct

BB30 is different BB to Shimano - the latter fits by using cups in a threaded bottom bracket. BB30 is effectively a tube into which bearing races are pressed in.

Having said that, there are adapters that non BB30 chainsets to be fitted to BB30 BB - you will need to google.
