I currently have a Deore LX MTB crankset on my Sirrus with 48T on the outer ring with a BB51 that needs replacing and I'd like to swap this for a roadset such as the Shimano Tiagara which Shimano says needs a BB4600.
Before shelling out on a new crankset, I would like to know what the difference between these two BBs really is and is the MTB BB51 compatible with the Tiagara?
