Does anyone have any ideas as to why a fully charged and working set of batteries should go flat after about 6 hours of being in the front light which is switched off.
This has happened 2 or 3 times recently and even after buying new batteries and charger.
I can only presume its a fault with the light which is somehow discharging batteries ?

It's a good job I carry a spare set !

Long shot, but it could be a fault to earth which as you say is discharging the batteries. How old are the batteries? It may be that they have reached the end of their useful life. If the batteries are new, check the wiring especially if it touches the frame anywhere. It should be insulated from earthing by the tyres but if there is even the smallest contact point it will discharge.
