As someone who tends to warm up pretty quickly when riding, rather than go for a jacket that I can't pack down into a jersey pocket or saddle bag, this winter I'm planning to think a bit more about some sensible layering.
To that end, I'm shopping around for some base layers. Both the HH 'StayDry' Strip Crew long sleeve base and the DHB Merino base layer 150 have caught my eye in terms of looking pretty good value.
I have really positive experiences from using HH tops for my running, but everyone seems to rave about Merino as the ideal base material for cycling. Any views/experience from these tops or do I need to splash some more money?
