Barn Find Airolg ATB / Mountain bike

I've just spotted a 6 speed bike buried in junk at the back of a friend's garage. It has 26" wheels, lugged crown forks, twin clamp stem, riser bars, long wheel base, triple crankset. It must be from around 1986.

I didn't have time to dig It out and couldn't found a match on the internet. The make is Airolg. I'm wondering about the quality of the frame. I won't have a chance to dig it out and have a closer look till mid January.

An Airolg Milano Top Gun maybe?
Sounds Italian but I think they were made in the USA?

Could be interesting, so worth a look. Airolg is (was) a long estalished brand going back to the 30s I think.

Fun fact - Airolg is 'gloria' backwards.

I'm in Sicily, I imagine that it is an Italian bike. This is a heavy old steel frame with tapered, rigid forks. Probably better suited to mixed touring than mountain track. Yep, AMF Gloria went bust in the 50's but the brand was revived sometime later.

The steel gents bikes that I'm seeing are all selling for between 80 - 90 Euros.
