Errrr.....
Hi everybody!

Spotted this Veloce groupset which I nabbed for a bike build project I've had on the go for a while. It's arrived today, so it's been Christmas in the Archie household. ;)

I'm struggling to see what I've done wrong here: this looks an absolute steal, but there's a couple of things I want to run by you just guys to see if I've got everything expected. Bear in mind this is all new to me, so it's totally a learning experience! So forgive me if anything seems obvious.

First question, and the easiest, I can't find the lockring for the cassette. Should this be there, or with the freewheel (when I eventually buy it)?

Second, rather unexpectdely I've got an ultra-torque crankset/bottom bracket combination. I've already got a Mirage BB on the frame and was expecting the Veloce cranks to be compatible. Not a problem however, as looking at the kit it seems an excellent design (and I've already got Mirage cranks anyway if I don't fancy using them). Just a couple of things struck me however, after checking the instruction sheet and reading up on t'internet.

1. There doesn't seem to be a spring washer with the connecting bolt (there's a washer, no apparent spring).

2. There's no wave-washer to go between the cranks (fig. 12 on the instructions).

Anyone know if I need to go back to the vendor and query these omissions?
Cheers,
Archie

As far as I recall there should be a wave washer left side and a retaining clip for the right side. Is that what you meant by a spring washer? Have a look here for more info:

Also, I have a spare campag lockring if you want it. £2 + p&p and it's yours.

VERY sorry about the tardy reply. Yep, the wave washers in the package with the left side cup. I'd misread the diagram and thought it was for between the join in the cranks. Cheers for the link.

The spring washer goes with the fixing bolt, joining the two cranks. I'll just have to trust the one there is the spring washer.

Thanks for the help, I'll PM you about the lockring.
