Bar Tape

Im thinking of adding another layer of part tape to aid comfort -

will this be a problem or will it just come off and look ugly??

It will work but it would probably be better to just buy new tape with padding and maybe some gel inserts.
There is a chance that double taping could slip and cause you to lose control.

Nothing wrong with adding an extra layer of tape, if its good enough for Wiggins, then its good enough for us. As far as I know he just adds an extra layer along the top of the bars.

Don't worry about it looking tatty, its just bar tape and needs replacing eventually, I just look at it as a consumable.
