Have just taken bike for a 30 miler after a service and having bar ends fitted. By Evans Bristol top job all round and had the specalized sps2 firred. Look and feel the part and make a great difference when going up hill. Must say thanks for all that answered my post from a few weeks ago asking if bar ends made a difference you were right as usual

What do u mean by bar ends ? The circle pieces that push into the ends ? What's the difference If changed

They are like small extensions that clamp on to the end of the handlebars . I find that they enable me to use upper body strength to help get up hills .I asked about them a couple of weeks ago and had positive replies sohad a set fitted and i do think they make a difference

They really seem to make a difference am going to try to conquer a hill which has been beating me tomorrow. Think they could put the odds in my favour. Cheers. Again for input.

Having just gone back to a flat bar from drops for my commute (also a Sirrus!) Bar ends will be my next purchase!
