Ballis & Willey - What fits ?

Im in the process of rebuilding the 1950 Fothergill. I've gotten around the 700 -v- 271/4 wheels stuff and I've had the rear drop outs splayed to take what it can, but it has a Bailiss & Willey Bottom Bracket which fits quite snug. My Campag Chorus doesn't seem to want to go in though, likewise a Shimano UN52. Can anyone guide me to the bottom bracket that will fit, or do I have to search for the required B&W BB ?

I should have added its a RGW bottom bracket shell, so I'm not sure of the thread.

@Tony Smith cant you just change the shaft itself keeping the original cups ?

any idea what thread it is ? somewhere in my Garage i have a bucket full of headset and bottom bracket fitting will have a look and see if there is any Ballis & Willey ones in there , what side do you need ?

I've now found a cup that will fit the other side. I want to fit a cotterless system, any thoughts on axle size etc., in order that a Campag chainset can be fitted ?

The 'other side' I've taken off a 1940's frame (Fothergill again), Im wondering if I'm just too far in the distant past to make this build work !!!

I would have thought you could fit a standard sealed unit. SJS stock spindles in a huge variation of sizes which will work with your cups but unless you have the original spindle to measure, it may be difficult to get it exactly right.
