What is the best way to get my white saddle / bar tape looking white again?

Jif cream, or something similar, as I once read in another thread on here.

My bar tape came out almost like new on Sunday after using it.

I read somewhere that WD-40 is good for whitening dirty bar tape.
No experience of it myself though and I wouldn't think you'd want it on your saddle and potentially getting it on your shorts.

White bar tape is great if you are a pro with a mechanic to do the dirty work and who can replace bar tape at the turn of the hand... Otherwise..
