axle sizes

Currently have a frame,9 speed.
Have got 2nd hand wheels,8 speed.
Looking on a certain website for axles for the wheels. Think they should he about 145 but when trying to select one i am confused with choices given as to which one is the correct one to select.
Any help ??

If QR, then the ends should be just within the drop outs to allow for tightening. Measure the width of these and buy the size just less. Or measure the one you have removed!
