went out for a hilly spin today on road and done 18miles in 1hr 15mins on a mountain bike.can anyone tell me what my average speed would be please thanx

Average (or constant) speed = distance divided by time. For MPH, convert minutes into hours. So, as an example, 90 mins would be 1.5 hours. 10 miles in this time would therefore be 10/1.5 = 6.67 MPH.

Divide the distance by the minutes and multipliy by 60.

18/75*60=14.4

Your true avarage speed could actually be higher than 14.4 if you discount all stoppages like traffic lights etc.
