I saw this last night, my first 3D cinima experience.

It was amazing!

At first, during the trailers, the 3D effect seemed a little flat, 2D objects placed in a 3D world if you know what I mean. However, the film itself was great. Daft plot overall but it didn't detract from the cinematic experience of escapism. I came out wanting to fly a dragon!
It would have been better if it was a little less 'American' and didn't have 'Rambo' as the main character.

The only other problem was that once I put on the 3D glasses I rapidly developed an ache in my right eye and and a left hemishere head ache that I still have.;)

My boy's 12th birthday is Monday, so we're off to see it Sunday afternoon.

Looks fab, kinda The Smurfs vs Pern. ;)

I saw it in 2-D and it was well worth seeing from the quality of the CGI alone - truly groundbreaking. The other stuff...well...it wasn't poor.

Just back from seeing it. Truly amazing experience in 3D, totally loved it. The story/plot, however, isn't new, seen it all before in various guises so no prizes for guessing the outcome.

Still, it was great fun and I had to force myself not to let out a yell and punch the air at one point! Might go back and see it again on Sunday...

I've had problems with motion sickness before when watching a film in one of those wrap-around IMAX screens, and also when watching Blair Witch Project.

Any reported problems of motion sickness with 3D films? Planning to go and see this on Wednesday.

Guy at work saw it in freedee at the weekend and he said there were bits where you felt quite disorientated and giddy. Liked the film though, stupid story but visuals are amazing.

My nine-year-old daughter also saw it, in plain vanilla, and she liked it too. But she is nine ;0)

We went to see it yesterday in 3D. The plot is simple - it is a 12A after all, but relatively well handled. The animation and 3D effects are just jaw-droppingly awesome, to such an extent that I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
