Looking to grab some Bib Tights and potentially a thicker Long Jersey or Jacket but unsure what is needed tbh.

Have seen the Specialized Comp Racing Windtex Long Jersey for a good price, along with the Specialized Roubaix Jacket for a bit more. Prefer the former, but the latter seems more versatile?

In reality, what do I need for this time of year and in Jan/Feb too?

Any experience of either of the above? Any other suggestions?

Any good deals on Bib Tights too?

Depends how much you feel the cold. I don't have heavy heavy jerseys but I do have thermal LS jobs. I wouldn't be warm enough just with thin layers

Got one of these recently, very good (and quite warm)! http://www.cyclesurgery.com/special...nents-bikewear/fcp-product/47494?listing=true

Excellent for under £40

In terms of deals on bib tights - google around. Depending on your budget, Sigma often have deals on higher end kit, Evans have 30% off Gore, Wiggle's dhb are popular but don't have the thickest padding according to reviews. Cyclesurgery as above have some deals. http://www.cyclesurgery.com/bib-tights/clothing/fcp-category/list?resetFilters=true

Do get what you pay for, so a deal on costlier kit may be worth seeking out

The best piece of clothing i bought recently was the castelli windproof baselayer, which means i can still use lightweight jerseys over the top and not have to worry about my chest getting battered buy the wind. it is expensive for a baselayer, but very good indeed

I bought one of the winter jerseys from Aldi recently. Tried it out a couple of weeks ago when it dropped to a 'feels like' 2 deg and I was more than toasty, if anything a little too warm. Think it will be more suited to -2/-5 deg to be honest. Long sleeve base layer and softshell jacket is my normal gear for the weather at the minute, with running trousers under bibshorts.
