Auction purchase.

i recently won this at a local auction.
Got full 600 group set on, bit dirty, needs a good clean up.
Unsure of frame but is light and has nice lugs.
Any ideas?

I wonder if there's some clues lurking under the repaint colour? I'd say from the state of it that it's been used as a commuting hack and was overpainted to make it less thief attracting. The lugwork looks too fancy for it to be a gas pipe special. Maybe have a go with some paint thinners and see if any of the top layer will come off without resorting to stripper?
