image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Orbea Aqua frameset, carbon forks, fsa headset, wheels not included but everything else you see in the pic is, mechs, brake calipers but rear is missing securing Allen nut, seat and post, stem and specialized ergonomic bars. I was thinking sort of £100-&125, is that off the mark? Oh and size 57cm.
A few chips and scratches and scuffs etc but still a nice looking bike.

Tbh mate it's a real nice light bike, ive had it about 8 months now and have built it up this far but haven't touched it for a while and in my heart of hearts I know I'll never get round to finishing it as I have a 1972 ford cortina that takes up my tinkering time, so it's better off with someone who can finish it and enjoy riding it.

THIS one sold on fleabay in May for £231, THIS one sold in April for £215, but both were complete bikes.

Loads of other complete bikes have had no bids and/or have failed to sell on buy it now.

The Aqua is an entry level bike TBH, so most people in the market for one would want it ready to ride, with that said it's very hard to put a price on yours as it stands, (without offending you that is).

It might be worth trying to find some cheap levers, chainset, cables & bartape and getting it built up, or if not @biggs682 is sniffing, he'll take it off you and get it built before you can say Jack Robinson ;)

A perfectly working and complete one sold on eBay last month for £230.

Needs 200-300 spending on it for a low end bike. Unless you scour eBay for used parts.
Something like £50. Otherwise why would anyone bother.
A real money pit.

I think these were £5-600 new in 2011. Bike market has changed a bit since then with bikes such as Triban 3/5 etc. Can get a vastly superior bike to this for what this cost now.

It's harder than ever to keep value in a bike a the mo... with the coming 105 being pretty much the current Ultegra, Sora loosing the shitty button shifting last year etc.

Cheers for the replys, It's on eBay now with a bid already so fingers crossed I'll get my money back on what it's cost already, it's ideal for re-framing for a winter bike but who knows what it's going to be used for.

It's quite a nice one, needs work but it's 42 years old.

Nice, I like that. They used to make nice looking cars in the olden days didn't they?

Thanks Carl, it gets a lot of attention and comments, I was in Tesco the other week filling up and when I looked out of the window waiting to pay it stood out so much against all the Audis volvo's etc, made me smile lol

I had 6 Cortinas, 4 Capris, and 2 escorts growing up (not all at the same time!). Loved the Cortina. All pre 83. My favourite was a Mk 1 3000E Capri which I swapped for a 1973 240z in need of work. Don't see enough of the old Fords, mostly cause they rotted away! ;)

I know what you're saying Kins, I was a bit of a Capri hoarder until about 13 years ago, if I knew then what I know now I'd have rented a barn and kept them all, I'd be quite a rich man now^_^ I remember picking a 2.8i up for £30 scrap money, and it was a good car lol
