Spouse's of famous people often get left behind if the other half doesn't appreciate what the can contribute to the relationship....
Sadly happens in various different scenarios.

I Heart Huckabees is the only one of these I've seen, and I loved it. 2004, never rewatched it.

If he was responsible, even partially, for the scene where Ben Stiller accidentally teaches the baby to swear, he was touched by genius.

Chill. While it's tragic, it's also true that the unfortunate gent and his wife are at the obscure end of American showbiz, so you shouldn't be all that surprised that few on here have heard of them (in fact you anticipated it in your OP).
