Attached Bottom Brackets

Ive bought a Merida Race Lite 904 road bike from Start Cycles in Newcastle upon Tyne. I checked out websites to check out its specifications and the specification for the bottom bracket was attached. When I checked the specifications of other makes of bikes the specification for those bottom brackets were brand names. I am a bit worried that attached means it is part of the frame and if in the future the bottom bracket was damaged in some way would this mean the frame would be unusable or would the bottom bracket still be able to be replaced. This bike cost me £999 so this would be a bit pricey if the former was the case.

I'ma bit confused about the attached bit
It will either be a BB30 or a Hollowtech II bottom bracket.
Give the store a call to check.

According to Merida it seems the bike has a Shimano (R565) Hollowtech 2 chainset, which has a spindle integrated to the drive side crank arm, unlike traditional bb with spindle within. Very common.

Ive just checked with the store and they say it is a screw in Shimano BB so everything seems sorted now
