what is the actual reasoning behind them, exactly? i've got some assos shorts recently (they're great, i might add), and was just wondering what the wash bag is for. Well obviously to put them in when washing, but what's the purpose of washing them in a bag? They seem fairly squashed up in it, they don't seem to have much room to move about, or is this the point? And are they meant to be inside out in it when in the washing machine, or not?

Wear the bag. You'll look better for it.

No idea, but if you're not going to use it send it to me and I can stick all my bras in it .

I'll tell you what the bag is about - Assos overkill.

They include things that aren't required and then charge too much for the product.

The wash bag is to protect your shorts from velcro.

Yeah, but does anyone put something with velcro or zips into a general wash without closing it over or zipping it up first? I don't know about you, but I'd rather they didn't charge for a bag that isn't required!!

I have Assos bibs and have never needed, nor used, the washbag. Umpteen washes later I have yet to see any damage. I would rather have had a couple of £s off the price than the overkill bag.

I agree with Bonj, the shorts are excellent. However, they are not sufficiently better than any good brand to merit the huge price difference IMO.

I do - and never had a problem.

Mind you, if I had a pair of Assos shorts I would probably hand wash them.

mine were 60-odd quid. dhb ones are 40-odd or maybe even over 50 i can't remember. so not that much difference.
i was wanting to get some demarchi contour evo after they were highly recommended in c+, but you can't get them for less than £100, so i thought i'd get the assos ones.

Where did you get them from, were they brand new and which model are they?
Or were they freak-size only end of line discounts?

I've had a couple of pairs off Ribble for £60ish. I take small though so I get bargains all the time
They have the Uno's on there now for £50 in S or M
