14 years after dispute, Armstrong and Frenchman bury the hatchet

Following his meeting with former US Postal soigneur Emma O’Reilly in Florida a few weeks ago, L’Équipe has reported that Lance Armstrong was in Paris on Friday where he made a second public burial of the hatchet with another of his old enemies, Frenchman Christophe Bassons.

Is he informing the press about these meetings? How do they know?

If he is then it's all just part of the Armstrong game isn't it. He wants the public to know he is doing these things and for that there is no reason to believe his intentions reach beyond self preservation.

Yeh he once said something along the lines of "My biggest regret is my coming back, we wouldn't be here if i never returned".

It was known that he was interested in running for the Republican nomination for Governor of Texas, some time ago. I suspect that his 'downfall' has merely delayed this... IMHO, he could be very dangerous indeed in high office.
