I am looking to pick up a pair of arm warmers for the colder mornings. Can you guys give me some recommendations of good arm warmers i should consider, I want to hear your thought on the ones you have bought and would recommend....

I have Decathlon ones they seem fine, sometimes need to be pulled up a tad at the top of the arm but not much and that may be down to sizing (My arms are quite skinny). I would buy them again they certainly do the job.

If you are like me, skinny biceps  its quite hard to get armwarmers to stay up. After trying a few my last pair are Defeet Armskins (I think thats what they are called) and they're perfect for me. I also like that they are easier to roll up or down on the move.

Craft 3D are the best I've used. I think I must have long/skinny arms cos most arm warmers I've tried (including the aforementioned Decathlon ones) come up ridiculously short. The Craft are nice and long yet don't slip.

Yup, i agree. I'm a big guy, most of my kit is XL size... apart from my armwarmers. They're a medium. And they still fall down. Mine are Bontrager ones btw.

Specialized for me. They are very long, too long, possibly, but I've had no issues with them staying up on my svelte *ahem* forearms.

I've only had them for a few weeks, I'd filed them, along with the wind-proof gilet, as 'kit that is too bike-specific so will never be used' but they have already been worn a couple of times and I rate them highly now.

If you are not in a hurry then these are well priced, they are just lycra and add enough to keep the chill off, any colder i would be reaching for the windproof. They are fairly tight and only just fit me but i do not have cycle skinny arms.

I have a cunning plan for armwarmers, in a totally hobby-cyclist non-lycra-ish way...

I have purchased a cheap fleece pullover and intend to butcher it into a pair of arms joined by a strip of fabric across the back and chest, probably with a velcro fastening to the front. Or maybe I'll leave it as an over the head job. But anyway - voila! no falling down sleeves.

For the fashion cognoscenti amongst you, think pared-down shrug.

£3.50 from Decathalon in a fetching shade of Kermit green. I predict a sartorial trend.

Pearl Izumi seamless for me.

Decathlon are ok, but a bit short (good grippers though) - Endura (on the basis of the cycle-chat ones) are the same.

Descente's "Cold Out" are excellent, good length & good grippers, although my pair got shredded when I was hit by a car in 2008, and I never got around to replacing them.

A decent budget choice is the Prendas "Meraklon" ones - although they do pill after a few washes, they're nice and warm.

How about using a pair of tights, and shoving the gusset bit over your head? Not only might it keep you warmer, but you could frighten people, too! And rob banks!
