Anyone know if there are any arm warmers out there with thumb holes - want to keep the armwarmers down low enough to cover the palms/backs of hands. There seem to be plenty of these for 'fashion' wear (knitted wool, etc), but not for cyclists.

Maybe said in jest but this isn't such a bad idea. Due to my build I find that most arm warmers are to narrow in the upper arm & are painful or cut off blood supply. I have to buy 1 or 2 sizes up resulting in the warmer being to long so then I cut a thumb hole out & seam it properly which results in exactly what you're looking for.

Scissors are likely to be the final solution, but I just thought I'd ask first if there were any ready made!

I've not seen them with thumb loops/holes but I'm sure they exist.

I'm not a fan of thumb loops myself. I have a couple of jerseys and jackets with them and I find they irritate. Like riding with some foreign object in the glove. So I use my glove cuff to help stop my sleeve/arm warmer from riding up.

I have some wrist warmers. with said thumb hole, but can't find them on the net.

These, however, will do the job!

Nah! It's most of us on here! ;)

A sense of humour and not having your head up your bum is very welcome here on CC, Steve!

I bought a Snow Boarding top at either Lidl or Aldi late last year and the arms have those thumb holes in them. I cant see the point really as it is my fingers that get cold not the front or backs of hands but in the temperatures we have been getting it all helps I suppose.

I find that when cycling winter gloves are fine as they keep your sleeves or arm warmers in place but for spring/autumn when I'm wearing lighter gloves without hooking the sleeve or arm warmer over my thumb I often end up with an exposed area just above the wrist & my hands end up freezing cold. It's for simlar reasons with the ski jacket, it makes sure the sleeve doesn't work its way up your arm & exposing skin or base layers, when you're talking about -10C this can have disastrous effects. I have a friend who had to have his hand amputated due to frostbite just above the glove cuff & complications latter on.
