I seriously can't decide what bike to get.

Its either giant propel advanced 2 or cervelo s2.

Cervelo s2 for 1800 with full 105 groupset and vision team 35 wheelset

Propel advanced 2 for 1299 also full 105 groupset apart from speed control brakes but then have extra money to buy better wheelset

Zipps or enve's
So brand name?

Which did you prefer on testride. That's all that counts. Along with aesthetic preference and some sort of undefinable personal emotional attachment, to product or the brand, like with the wheels It seems

Haven't tested the Cervelo will be on thursday but lbs for the Giant will only let it be tested on dry days.

My gut telling me to go with Cervelo as it will be different on club rides

Job done if you enjoy it

Go to Giant on a dry day?

Jamma, If your going to be racing I would suggest neither of these bikes without first considering the crash replacement policy. If you crash and need replacement parts which one offers better replacement pricing as it may sway which way you go. The Giant maybe cheaper outlay but could work out more expensive in the longer term.

Also not been rude but have you considered lock up arrangements. Bikes of a high value often require a gold standard lock and to be locked to an immovable object secured to the floor using theft proof parts.

Just a thought, why not half the price and get a car to allow you to compete further afield or even try and find last years model on Ebay to save some money...

I didn't think about replacement costs of parts etc but i am getting a bike shed installed on concrete so no gaps so immovable objects can get fitted.

Uncle does some races so he said i could jump in his car with him.
