Yeah, that’s the history of early BMX.. kids took their dad’s roadbike and borrowed quality parts for their bmx conversions.. stronglight cranks, campagnolo hubs, brakes, etc.. banana seats were replaced with Brooks saddles..
I love the maverick spirit of BMX. Not my thing for many years now, but it's properly skilful stuff and some of the trick riding they do is absolute insanity.
