Anyone tried a Mirrcycle Road Bike Mirror?

I have decided to try using a mirror. I don't really fancy a helmet jobbie as I don't always wear one. The type that attach to the end of drop bars look a bit small and not so easy to see. It seemed to make sense to buy one similar to a motor bike mirror, but searching around the interweb I have struggled to find the "perfect" mirror for the job, even on these great forums there are a couple of old threads that lead to mirrors slated by others elsewhere.

I like the idea of the Mirrcycle Road Bike Mirror http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ultimate-Ha...sr_1_6?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1331137588&sr=1-6 which fits on to the hoods of my shifters, appears to be decent quality, and works for a tourer with panniers, tents, kitchen sinks etc. on the back which the frame attached type is no good for.

The only major criticism of these mirrors seems to be the vibration, although some people say there is none. I trust you guys so has anyone used these mirrors? Or do you have the perfect mirror for the job?

I haven't tried the Mirrcycle so can't comment but I do have a Cateye on each of my bikes http://www.amazon.co.uk/CatEye-BM-300G-BarEnd-Bicycle-Mirror/dp/B000P1Q170/ref=pd_cp_sg_3 and find them very good. By the way, I tried one of the helmet mirrors, couldn't get on with it at all

Thanks Falwheeler. This has a shorter arm so probably suffers less from vibration. It's also half the price so it's a win win ^_^ Buying one now, £5.99 from Wiggle inc. delivery.

I've tried the Cateye and found it shifted position in the wind at speed which tended to be when I needed it most!

I have one on my commuter (here) and I want another one for Lelly but I just can't find anywhere that does single RHS ones. This is a great mirror, doesn't move around, gives a good view. Oh it's for drop bars though.

Bike Eye.

Frame mounted, out of the way of bumps and bangs, doesn't make the bike any wider, there are fewer vibrations that close to the centre of the bike and they are generally excellent for road bikes although possibly not as good if you have a rack and panniers.

Bike Eyes aren't a lot of good if you have long legs. I've tried them, they either get in the way generally or when you're out of the saddle.
