A bike called the Dawes Dorado ?
My Dad got me one when I was 14/15 back in 1962/3.
I cannot remember how many gears it had now but the gears were benelux.
We, boys, used to ride out to Southend from North London for a Sunday ride.
Happy days.
I would love to hear if anyone knows about the model.

Yes I remember it! As I recall it had five sprockets at the back with a cottered double chainset, probably made by Williams. It also had white brake lever hoods mated to Weinmann centre-pull calipers. Most were painted green with gold box lining on the tubes, but oh those Benelux gears; fit for nothing but kicking!!
I believe this model was discontinued in about '68, but perhaps someone knows better?
